New Management for the New York Mets Means a New Block Empty
PostSubject: New Management for the New York Mets Means a New Block   New Management for the New York Mets Means a New Block EmptyTue Feb 24, 2009 3:53 pm

Hey all,

My name's Jason, and I'm the new GM of the New York Mets. I have been building my experience with OOTP online leagues, but this is my first league using real rosters. The previous one's have all incorporated fictional rosters. That being said, I have extensive sim and fantasy baseball experience, so I'm looking forward to making this roster my own.

What I typically do when I take over a team and post a trade block is to put everyone on the block in a tiered system. I am a full believer that everyone has a price.

With that out of the way, here's my 40-man roster (from the website, as I haven't been able to download the league file yet), broken down into tiers:

Tier 1 (Roster Filler that will be easy to get if you find someone you like):
Kevin Dixon
Kiko Calero
Lee Gronkiewicz
Trever Miller
Luis Vizcaino
Brian Schneider
Mike Cervanek
Gary Matthews
Greg Norton
Geoff Jenkins
Scott Richmond
Dennis Sarfate
Rick Bauer
Enrique Gonzalez
Kenji Johjima
Jay Gibbons
Ross Gload
So Taguchi

Tier 2 (Players I am actively shopping, but value properly. This category is probably the closest to a traditional "Trade Block"):
Tom Glavine
Joaquin Benoit
Jason Isringhausen
Will Ohman
Mark Teixeira
Mike Lowell
Edgar Renteria
Lance Berkman
Jermaine Dye
Michael Aubrey
Kevin Frandsen

Tier 3 (Players who I would probably like to keep, but I'll listen to offers):
Mike Pelfrey
Chris Young
Jarrod Saltalamacchia
Rickie Weeks
Ross Detwiler
Chuck Lofgren
Garrett Olson
Lou Palmisano
Michael Brantley

Tier 4 (Players who would be almost impossible to get unless you blow me away with an offer. Be prepared to lose the deal if you want one of these guys):
Francisco Liriano
Adam Jones
Jeff Clement

I'm relatively easy to get a hold of. You can PM me on the boards, e-mail me, or catch me on AIM. I haven't decided what direction to take this team in, so I'll listen to all offers.

I really like how you did this. Welcome to the league, and good luck to you!
