Cincinnati Reds agree to the deal;
I am very happy to bring D-Lowe to Cincinnati as he is the closest thing to a #1 that seems to be available on the trade market right now and to make any chance of a late run, we need that front of the rotation guy.
Troy Glaus signed with us unexpectedly in the offseason for a little lower value than he was actually seeking and took over the 1B position and did a great job leading the Majors in assists by a 1B and is in top 5 of Double plays. Offensively, he is right around where we expected average wise (.260) but his power numbers are down slightly (10 homers-45 RBIs) and this will allow Adam LaRoche to get the chance he sought and expected when coming to Cincy.
Doug Davis filled in admirably for the Reds going 6-5 with a 4.07 ERA...
